Welcome to the American extension of an extraordinary Brazilian success story – Tenuta Foppa & Ambrosi. Born from the passion, vision, and relentless determination of two young enologists, Lucas Foppa and Ricardo Ambrosi, our winery represents a blend of South American soul and Californian expertise.

Lucas and Ricardo's wine journey began at the young age of 21. They do not come from traditional grape-growers or wine-producing families, nor from wealthy backgrounds. They are the first generation in their families to venture into the world of wine, forging their path through hard work and determination.​

Our Origins

The tale of Tenuta Foppa & Ambrosi is one of inspiration and audacity. In six short years, our production leaped from 300 to 60,000 bottles, starting from a homegrown effort in Garibaldi (RS), Brazil, to establishing a historic presence in Napa Valley, California.

It began with just 45 unnamed bottles of Marselan in 2017, but this small beginning ignited a fire that led to our first commercial production, the Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 branded as Tra Nodo. From there, we grew, never losing sight of our goal to craft Super Premium wines that embody our identity.

The Napa Valley Journey

Our connection with Napa Valley emerged during a tasting event in 2017, where we were inspired by the flavors of the region. Four months later, Lucas and Ricardo found themselves working in California, absorbing the wine culture and perfecting their craft.

Our experience in California not only shaped our winemaking philosophy but laid the foundation for the realization of a dream – opening a branch in the esteemed Napa Valley. Partnering with Alberto Mendoza and Miguel Cará, we introduced the American Collection Foppa & Ambrosi Syrah 2021, our first American label.

A Collective Walk

Our winery thrives on collaboration. We maintain strong relationships with vineyards across various regions, ensuring that we select the finest grapes for our wines. Our production is guided by a clear vision and values, with every bottle reflecting our commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation.

Here in Napa Valley, our production continues to be led by our Brazilian founders. The operational part is expertly handled by Mendoza, and the corporate aspect by Cará. Together, we form a perfect blend of skills and passion.
